This is our 75th Gala Day and Queen Libby Inglis and Consort Danny Worobec were joined by their Gala Court to carry out their Crowning Ceremony in great style.
Queen Libby was crowned by Mrs Maureen Steele who is the Granddaughter of Mrs Margaret (Meg) Bell who was the Gala Crowning Convener for many years.

During the Crowning Ceremony Colin McGinn Gala Chairman was presented with the new
The Gina Benn Memorial Award by Paula Waugh Gala Crowning Convener for his exceptional services to the community.

We were honoured to welcome some Former Queens of Tranent Gala  who came along to celebrate the 75th Gala.

Tranent Pipe Band introduced the new Tranent March which was composed by David Murray. The Children of Tranent Primary schools had a competition to name the new March. The winner was Abigail Russell who named the March "Belters Birl."

The Clark Community Choir came along to entertain everyone before and during the ceremony.

Following the Crowning Ceremony the Gala Court were escorted down to the War Memorial where Queen Libby laid her bouquet. All the fun followed in the Gala Field.
